AIRBRUSHED BATTING HELMET FAQ's
I know there are a lot of questions about airbrushed batting helmets because of their custom nature. I will address as many of these questions as I can on this page. I will be glad to answer any additional questions. You can email any questions to info@airecraft.com. Thanks.
How durable is the paint?
Ive seen this paint last a very long time. 3 even 4 years. The biggest problem with the paint is emotional players, which is understandable. Paint on my helmet in my day wouldn’t have lasted one game. Throwing these helmets across the sand is JUST like taking sandpaper and sanding the paint off the helmet. Striking out and flinging your helmet is the WORST thing you could possibly do to the paint. Throwing your helmet down in the dugout for everyone else on your team to kick around is also another no no for a lasting Aire Craft paint job. If you are careful with these helmets they will last a long time. Clean with soap and water, never mineral spirits or any solvents.
How long does it take to paint and ship the helmet?
Since each helmet is custom painted there can’t really be a set time for the paint. The time to paint usually varies between 1-3 days depending on demand and on/off season. Shipping time depends on your selection for shipping.
Is the helmet included in the price of the helmet?
Yes. At Aire Craft the price is included, but there is an option to send me your helmet or if you are local to Jacksonville you can drop it off or we can even pick it up.
Is the helmet still safe after painting?
Yes. The helmets are painted with a water based paint call Createx. Water based paints will not weaken or damage the helmet. |
